Hello

I remember in high school, a series of drawings I did for my conceptual art class got a very disapproving look from the instructor. Her face said everything I needed to hear, and I went with it.

The theme of the series was sensuality, basically sex. They were three drawings, each depicting a segment of a scene. Looking back, it was almost like they were cropped segments of a porno still. One was a hand that was handcuffed to a showerhead, and another was foot playing with the pull cord of window blinds. I don't remember the third, but the subjects were all women. I was 16, and figuring things out.

In college, I was there for Anatomy and Physiology, but I lived for my figure drawing classes. They kind of went hand in hand.

However, after college, my art consisted of designing jewelry, and pop-style animal paintings. I was getting into local art markets and shows, and trying to fit in with the family atmosphere.

Then somewhere in the pandemic, I was doom scrolling and just started sketching a random pic. Took a second to shake the rust off, but the fundamentals found their way back.

I was 43 at the time, and didn't see any reason to hold back on my artistic expressions. Not having to please everyone is the most freeing way to live, and putting that in my art is essential. The venues to show are now somewhat limited, but that's minor to putting out the art that I love. I hope you enjoy my work.
